Prize Distribution Function
The Annual Day celebration or the Prize Distribution function is held every year in every school. It is perhaps the most important function. Preparations for the celebrations begin at least a month earlier. The school and especially the school auditorium give a bridal look. All the cultural programmes are well planned and sincerely prepared. Invitation cards are sent to V.I.Ps and to the parents of the students. Prior consent of a dignitary is taken to preside over the function. Photographers are engaged to take the photographs of all the events. The chief guest arrives and is enthusiastically welcomed. The cultural programme begins with ‘Saraswati Bandana’. A colourful show is presented. Thereafter, the Principal reads out the annual progress report of-the school. The chief guest gives away the prizes to the meritorious students. The winners receive a thundering applause. Then the chief guest speaks words of praise for the winners and goads non-receivers of prizes to work hard and be winners next time. The Principal thanks the Chief Guest, the school staff and the students for making the celebrations a roaring success. The function ends with the singing of the National Anthem. The guests and the prize winners enjoy a light-snack party with the teachers. The Principal declares holiday for the next day.
