Pacific Ocean
Pacific Ocean is the world’s largest ocean. It is also called as Blind Ocean. Its water area is concealed in-between the Southern Ocean, Asia, Australia and Western Hemisphere. Its coastal boundary admeasures 1,35,663 km in length. The total Pacific Ocean area is 15,55,57,000 sq km. Its average depth is 4,028 meter and its depth below sea level is 11,033 meter; which is known as ‘Marina Trench.’ This spot is the world’s deepest spot. Pacific Ocean had an important contribution in world’s financial position; especially in those areas where banks of Pacific Ocean are attached. It makes available economical water transportation eastern and western areas. In this ocean fishes are found extensively, because of which lakhs of people’s basic necessities are fulfilled. Beneath this ocean lie large reserves of oil, gas and minerals along with construction materials like small millets and mud. Important ports built on the coasts of the Pacific Ocean are San Francisco (America), Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong (China), Los Angeles (America), Taiwan, Manila (Philippines), South Korea, Ciatel (America), Shanghai (China), Sydney (Australia), Vladivostok (Russia), Yokohama (Japan) and New Zealand.
