Law grinds the poor. The rich man rules the law
This proverb throws light on the social injustice that is perpetrated every day in our society. It is said that the law is the same for the rich and the poor. In the eyes of the law, no one is big or small. If this is the truth then why is it that in jails around the world there are more poor people and fewer rich. Is it because that the rich have the power to hire the smartest lawyers Lawyers are capable of misguiding the courts with their clever talk so that their clients are released. While nobody comes out to fight the cases of the poor, who may be innocent and yet are not able to prove their innocence. It is not surprising therefore that a poor man may have to spend his entire life behind bars just for stealing a loaf of bread. While a rich man may strip the country of its resources and let go scot-free.
