If I Were The Prime Minister of India
My first priority as the Prime Minister of this country would be to rid the society of some burning problems like corruption at all levels and terrorism which has spread almost in all parts of the country. In this connection I will try to identify all those people and officials who are responsible for boat these evils as I believe them to be the number one enemies of this country. AU the officials involved in corruption at all levels will be punished severely and sent to jail. Besides all those responsible to encourage terrorism and shield their activities are to be identified and strict action initiated against them as per the rule of the land and to ensure that no further acts of terrorism are repeated.
My next priority will be to improve the condition of Education of this country as I believe that a sound educational system is necessary for the development of a developing country. India is a country with about 50 per cent illiteracy and if we have to develop economically we will have to develop our system of education substantially otherwise, I believe, all plans of development cannot show desirable results. If we look to the problem of corruption in this country, this is the result of increasing greed for money for lack of moral values which seem to dwindle in our society. So there is an urgent need to improve the quality of education so that our future generation gets a good quality education and moral strength. Eradication of poverty and illiteracy are the essentials for a developing country which should be on the top of the priority of the Prime Minister of India.
