Celebrating Republic Day in My School
My school celebrated the 66th Republic Day of India in a glorious manner. The spirit of patriotism echoed with National Anthem and hoisting of the National Flag was a proud moment for all of us.
Magnificent March Past with perfect action by senior students of my school brought a spark of patriotic passion on this important national day. However, the highlight of the programme was an act put up by the students of secondary section to emphasize the aim of our Prime Minister’s Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.
The celebration of this national festival in our school was graced by the esteemed presence of notables from different fields. Mrs. Roxana, a retired school Principal and a well-known child psychiatrist was invited as the guest of honours to grace the function. We welcomed her in different languages. In her speech, she praised the students for their outstanding discipline and passion to celebrate the important occasion. She even pointed about our efforts in organizing the event.
Every year my school celebrates Republic Day with great pride to spread the feelings of love, unity, brotherhood, affection and goodwill among the students belonging to different religions. We remember and pay homage to the heroes who fought to achieve India’s freedom. However, with all respect, we sang patriotic songs that echoed the entire atmosphere of the school. Students skillfully presented pyramid and aerobics that captivated the audience. All admired our performance with great enthusiasm, encouragement and interest. Selected winners outshined in curricular and extra-curricular activities were also felicitated. Even I got a certificate for good conduct.
For this special day, my school had planned number of fascinating programmes that won the hearts of the guests and parents. Finally, the programme ended with a closing chorus of school anthem by the students and planting of sapling in respect of protecting the environment. As preparations for this day were done in advance everything went very smooth.
The chief guest in her speech congratulated the students and the audience for their wholehearted participation and enthusiasm shown. She further said that national festivals like Independence Day and Republic Day must be celebrated in grand style because it helps in keeping the patriotic spirit alive within us. She praised everyone for being responsible citizens of the nation and creating an environment where all would enjoy their rights with total freedom.
