A Public Park
In today’s age of fast-growing urbanization, public parks have become rare. However, I have been lucky in this regard for right in front of my house is a large public park. It is also well maintained and kept.
Every day many people, both young and old come to the park for playing or taking exercise. Some even come here to sit idly and to breathe fresh air, The park is surrounded on all four sides with a lush green hedge. There is a small gate on the western end which lets the people into the park. Many hibiscus bushes have been planted inside the park. On the foot of these well-trimmed bushes, the gardener has planted many seasonal flower plants. In the middle of the park is a large mango tree. It bears fruit almost every year. Besides, there are many other trees inside the park. On them are nests of many birds. The ground is covered by lush green grass. This park has many benches on which people come to sit and meditate. During the morning hours, this park is full of joggers and walkers. While during the evening hours, many children come to pay here. They are usually accompanied by their parents. They sit and gossip among themselves, while the children play. At this time outside the park stand many balloon and ice cream vendors. Who does a good business by selling their wares to children and other people? This park also reduces air and sound pollution. Thus it makes our residential area a much safer place to live in.
