Pot Calls the Kettle Black
A wolf stole a lamb from the flock, and was carrying it off to devour it at his leisure when he met a lion, who took his prey away from him, and walked off with it.
The wolf dared not to resist, but when the lion had gone some distance, he said, “It is most unjust of you to take what’s mine away from me like that.” The lion overhead the wolf’s grumble, laughed, and called out in reply, “A thief question a robber how stranger! Did you get the lamb as a gift from a friend? You stole it out of a flock. Was that just?”
Small sinners cannot question big sinners. Sin, after all, is sin, whether big or small.
Those who live by thievery can’t complain of robbers.
