Light Pains Make Heavy Gains
A man had two dogs, and he trained one as a hunter and another as a guard dog; whenever the hunting dog caught some game, the tastiest morsels were always given to the guard dog.
One day, the hunter protested to the guard dog: ‘It’s not fair. I work at hunting all day long, and you get your food without doing anything.’
‘That must be the way the master wants it,’ replied the guard dog.
‘Obviously, it is more important for him to reward the dog who protects his home than the one who goes out hunting.’
Fortune does not smile alike.
