A Man and A Squirrel
A man kept wandering in search of some work but got none. It was very difficult for him to make both ends meet. He was completely exhausted. He lost all hope and decided to commit suicide. A stream was flowing nearby. He went there to drink water and wash his hands. He saw squirrel on the edge of the stream. He saw a strange happening. The squirrel was dipping its tail into water and then shaking it over the ground. This non-stop act of the little squirrel astonished him. He laughingly asked, “What are you doing, little squirrel?” “I am emptying the stream,’ replied the squirrel. The man was still laughing. He said, “Is it possible? Even if you dip your tail in the stream millions of times, you will not be successful in emptying the stream.” The squirrel looking very seriously replied Never mind. I can still try.” This confident reply left a great lesson for the man. He realized that it did not behave a man to lose heart and give in. “I am crown of the world. I am a man,” shouted the man. He set off again in search of work.
Moral: Never lose heart.
