We should listen to our elders
Shailendra’s father had many times told him to learn swimming, as it is good for health and a lifesaving art. But Shailendra didn’t pay any attention to his father’s words. One day, Shailendra, with his elder brother and sister, went to a nearby lake for bathing. While bathing there, Shailendra somehow went deep in the water and started drowning. He shouted for help. Luckily, his elder brother Mohit, who had come with him, knew swimming. He saved Shailendra. When they reached home and told the matter to their father, the father said to Shailendra, “Now you know better why I was asking you to learn swimming.”
Moral: We should listen to our elders.
