Politeness pleases others and is beneficial
Raghu was a polite barber. One day, a man went to his shop. After asking about the charges, he sat down on the chair and Raghu started cutting his hair. Just then, a friend of Raghu who was also sitting in the shop said something to Raghu. Raghu’s mind got distracted and mistakenly he cut the man’s shirt. The man started shouting angrily. Raghu said with folded hands, “I am sorry, sir. I accept my fault. Please forgive me. I will pay the price of the shirt in installments.” The man was impressed by Raghu’s politeness. He forgave him and after having his haircut went away.
