Never tell a lie yourself nor ask others to do so
One day someone came to meet Lakhan Singh. Lakhan was not in the mood to meet anybody. So, he called his son and directed, “Go and tell the person standing outside that I am not at home.” But the son asked Lakhan with surprise, “But father, you have always taught me over to lie. And now you yourself are telling me to that!” Lakhan was astonished to hear such an intelligent and truthful statement from his son. He patted him and went to meet the person.
Moral: Never tell a lie yourself nor ask others to do so.
