My Parents
My parents belong to the middle class. While my father is a salaried man, my mother is a non-working lady. My father originally belongs to Punjab and my mother belongs to Uttar Pradesh. However, we are living in New Delhi now, 1 ‘here we have a house of our own.
My father is a lecturer in history. He is a tall, slim man with a whitish complexion. He is in his late forties. He has a brilliant academic record to his credit. Though he passed his Matriculation examination from a rural school, he secured the third position in the university. He passed the M.A. examination in history, winning a gold medal. So he had no difficulty in becoming a lecturer in a New Delhi college. He is extremely popular with his students and colleagues. He is a non-smoker and teetotaler. He is highly proud of ancient Indian culture. My mother, who is forty years old, is a medium-sized lady with a fair complexion. She has a very sweet voice. She is a trained graduate. She is well-versed in household affairs. I wonder if there is any other lady in the locality who can excel in preparing delicious food. She is a religious and pious lady. She never misses her prayers in the morning.
Both my parents believe in simple living and high thinking. Both are courteous, liberal, and kind. I am proud of being born of such noble souls.
