Caught in the rain
John was on his way to school. His mother asked him to bring along an umbrella as it was going to rain but John thought it was too troublesome. He told his mother that it was all right so he ran all the way to school.
Halfway through, the rain came pelting down. John ran as quickly as he could. He regretted not listening to his mother’s advice. Left with no choice, he could only run as fast as he could.
As he was nearing school, he decided to sprint all the way in. Unfortunately, he stepped on a puddle of water and slipped. He fell facedown, hurting his face. It was very painful. He nearly cried out but told himself to move into the school building first.
When he reached school, he went to the office to seek help. The staff on duty attended to his wounds and at the same time, asked his parents to come and pick him up.
When his mother came, John apologised for not taking her advice seriously. After that, they proceeded to the doctor for a checkup.
