A Lost Wallet
Kelly was on her way home after school. She was rather tired as she had her Co-Curricula Activity that afternoon. As she was walking past a park, she saw a boy who was sobbing uncontrollably.
Feeling curious and concerned, she approached the boy and asked, “Why are you crying?” The little boy stopped crying and looked at her. He replied between tears that he had lost his wallet and his mother was sure to beat him as he had lost his wallet before. Furthermore, the wallet contained his tuition fees of one hundred dollars.
Kelly took pity on him and decided to help him find the wallet. She asked him where he had been earlier. He told her the route that he had taken so Kelly decided to follow the route which he had mentioned. Both of them searched high and low and half an hour later, they were still unsuccessful.
Kelly was tired but she knew that she should not give up. The boy needed a lot of help. She continued searching until she reached a tree. She found the wallet lying on the ground! She picked it up and showed it to the boy.
The boy jumped up and down, thanking her profusely, and at the same time, opened the wallet to check the money was intact. He was immensely relieved when I found that every cent was still in the wallet. He thanked Kelly again and said that he was very grateful to her. Kelly was beaming with pride as she had done a good deed. She could not wait to share with her family what she had done.
