Truth
“There is no god other than truth” Said Mahatma Gandhi. “Truth will Triumph” (sathyameva jayathe) is the motto of the Indian republic.
Every religious tenet applauds and appreciates truth.
To see the universal and all pervading spirit of truth face to face one must be able to love the meanest of creation as oneself. And a man who aspires after that cannot afford to keep out of any field of life.
Identification with everything that lives is impossible without self purification being highly infectious rectification of oneself necessarily leads to the purification of one’s surroundings.
But the path of self purification is hard and steep. To attain perfect purity one has to become absolutely free in thought, speech and action. To rise alone the offering currents of love and hatred, attachment and repulsion must not deviate from the path of truth.
In the beginning this may be a difficult path to traverse. But nothing is impossible for one who is deter-mined towards his good.
The search for truth and adherence to the same is the highest of all achievements. The search for truth has led people towards eternal joy and happiness.
And truth is the highest form of religion. All religions in spite of their differences in form and mode of worship advocate truth as their important religious principle.
Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation took an oath before his mother that he will always speak the truth and will never deviate from the path of truth. He kept his promise till his death.
During his hard days at South Africa where he was practicing as a lawyer and in India during his struggle for Indian freedom, he was true to himself and was true in his speech and action. He was respected all over the world for his truthfulness.
Truth will ultimately make a man great and victorious. Leo Tolstoy of Russia was another leading advocate of truth and he was the master of Gandhiji. In courts we are administered the oath, to speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. No person cart speak a lie consistently and for a long time.
We must develop the habit of speaking truth even from our childhood. Truth is considered to be the greatest of Dharmas. A man who always speaks the truth need not observe any other virtue or moral principle for truth itself is the greatest of all morals and best of all virtues.
God is the ultimate truth and we can be led to him by always true to ourselves and others.
VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
