My Home Town
Delhi is my home town. It is situated by the side of the river Yamuna. It is the capital of India. Delhi is a big centre of -trade and commerce. Tourists from all places of the world come to visit this city. Delhi is a historical place. It has witnessed the rise and fall of many empires. It has a number of historical buildings like the Red Fort, the Qutab Minar, Humayun’s tomb the Jantar Mantar, etc. It has big marketing places like Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, etc. It has many temples and mosques. The ancient mosque is Jama Masjid which was built by Shah Jahan. The Birla Mandir is a big modern structure built by Shri Birla, the industrialist. I am proud to have Delhi as my home town.
