Ghosts
All of us have enjoyed reading stories of their unnerving activities and have watched television shows of them with great trepidation. We have all heard of first-hand ghostly encounters from friends and relatives. But what are ghosts and do they really exist? No one knows for certain.
Ghosts are widely believed to be the spirits of dead people that haunt the scenes of their deaths or locations that were pleasant to them in life. Most incidents and stories that we hear tend to portray ghosts as spooky and macabre. They are normally associated with graveyards and haunted houses. If they do. exist, I would like to believe they are like Caspar, the friendly ghost. Gentle and affable, they mean no harm and can co-exist with us peacefully.
The skeptics’ point of view is that they are a product of our own minds. Ghosts, they say, are psychological phenomena: a figment of our imagination. We see them because we expect to or want to see them.
Are there such things as ghosts? The debate about their existence and nature goes on.
