Dr. Radhakrishnan
Dr. Radhakrishnan is remembered for his great devotion towards studies and sharpness of mind by the people of India till today.
He was one of the greatest patriots of India. Dr. Radhakrishnan was born on 5th Sept. 1888 in Andhra Pradesh. He was an exceptionally brilliant student from his childhood. He would study hard for hours together to pass with flying colors in the exams.
Dr. Radhakrishnan was a very knowledgeful person. He could talk on any topic around the sun and amaze others with his skillful talks and intelligence.
Dr. Radhakrishnan would prompt people to become a good human being and eliminate the ‘Selfishness’ in them. He said, “We are taught to fly in the air like sparrows and swim like the fish, but we don’t know how to live on the earth like a human being.”
Dr. Radhakrishnan believed that every person had a little of negative and positive shades, and it was not right to hate the person, but the society should check the wrong doings of the wrong doer and correct them. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a religious person. He believed in the existence of God and prayed for the welfare of mankind.
Dr. Radhakrishnan was elected for the post of the President in the year 1962. In 1963, he was honoured with the ‘Honour of Merit’ award.
Dr. Radhakrishnan was as innocent as a small child. He was away from the shrewdness of the world. This pure Soul left for heavenly abode on 17th April, 1975. Dr. Radhakrishnan possessed the virtues of a celestial being of heavens. Dr. Radhakrishnan was an ocean of love, which he distributed to others till his last breath. His birthday is celebrated as ‘Teachers Day’ in our country.
