Craze for The Foreign
In India, there is a great craze for foreign things. This craze is commonly seen among the younger people, particularly college students. They are madly after foreign dresses, foreign food and foreign electronic goods. It is somehow stuck in their minds that things made in India are inferior. Even western music is preferred by the younger generation. They are fond of disco, jazz and foreign music. They take pride in speaking foreign language rather than using their own mother tongue in the day-to-day conversation. They also take pleasure in ball-dance and are averse to the classical dances of our own country. They love the foreign civilization better than their own. They have become slaves of certain foreign habits. Craze for foreign things is not in the interest of our country.
