Book of Proverbs

Every wise person likes to read good books that show the right direction of life. My favourite book is the ‘Book of Proverbs’, that teaches us the ethics of life and instill good habits in us. The Book of Proverbs is based on the vast experiences of great intellectuals and philosophers of the world. These intellectuals accumulate the facts of life, that they have realized with experiences, then they tell these facts to the people of the society.

Most of the proverbs are based on the realities of life. Take for instance the proverb that states, ‘Pure Gold does not fear flame’. It’s based on the fact of life that the innocent people who have done no wrong have nothing to fear because they have a clear conscience and have done honest deeds. They have not been involved in any corruption scandals, neither have they killed anyone, nor have they stolen anyone’s money, thus they don’t have to fear anybody in the world.

There is another proverb stating ‘Fool to others, to himself a sage’. There are some boasters who consider themselves sensible but are called fools by others. One proverb states, ‘Birds of a

feather, flock together.’ Through the example of the birds, a philosopher has rightly guessed that people like to keep the company of the people of same habits, as they-have. A proverb states, ‘No pains, No gains’, which means that without enduring the sufferings of life, we can never achieve success. My favourite book of proverbs teaches us the facts of life. Therefore this one of the best books of the world.
