A Birthday Gift
Doesn’t your heart warm up to the mere thought of a Birthday gift? A Birthday gift. more than anything else, is an assurance that you are loved and remembered. What the gift is then, is of little consequence. Of course, it does matter a lot to children as their wish list is told to their parents well in advance and they have no doubt of being loved and cherished!
I am old enough to be able to brush aside the whole Birthday card and gift affair but I just cannot bring myself to. It matters to me that I get calls, cards and gifts from those who matter and I do give brownie points for a neatly wrapped gift with a bow! Surprisingly do not feel the same way for a Wedding Anniversary gill because I believe that it is an important day for the couple and it does not matter to me if any one remembers or not as long as we do! A Birthday is the day you arrived into this world and changed it for the better (I always like to believe that). So, it is of utmost importance that this great day be celebrated.
Sometimes in life, when you grow older you will find that you go through a lonely period but always remember, even if there is no one, you must gift yourself on your Birthday because, as the L’Oreal Ad says,”You’re worth it!”
