He goes from door to door to shave the people. The new barbers are better off than the old ones. They live a neat and clean life. He runs his own shop.
He learns the art of cutting hair from an expert barber before he starts his independent work.
Two pairs of scissors, razors, a cup-soap, a hair cutting machine, a nail cutter, a shaving brush and some pieces of clothes are the necessary tools of his trade.
The barber’s tongue and scissors work together. He always boasts of his skill of the trade. You can gather all sorts of information from him.
The barber cuts the hair with his machine, comb and scissors. He applies soap to the face. He wets the hair thoroughly before shaving the beard. Then he cleans the face and applies scented powder and cream.
The barber is a good messenger. He renders useful services at the time of births, marriages and deaths. The modern barbers are losing their social usefulness.
