Sir,
Through this letter I wish to draw the attention of public to the rising prices.
The prices of essential goods have gone up of late. Common people are the worst affected people. For them it has become very difficult to make both ends meet. This rise in prices does not affect the rich people. They can buy things in black also. Black-marketers, hoarders and profiteers are flourishing at the cost of the common people.
It is not the things of daily use, but other things are also getting dearer. Education is getting costlier day by day. It is going beyond the reach of middle class people. Many won’t be able to feed their school going children properly. Poor will suffer from diseases and bad health.
The government should take steps to ease the situation. The public distribution system should be geared up. All essential goods should be made available at fair-price shops. The hoarders and black marketers should be brought to book.
Hoping for necessary steps in this direction.
Yours faithfully,
Mukhtiar Singh
