Who organized the first package holidays for winter sports?
WINTER SPORTS PACKAGE HOLIDAYS were first organized in 1902 by (Sir) Henry Lunn, and to begin with were restricted to Old Etonians and Old Harrovians. A total of 440 winter sportsmen were accommodated in two hotels at Adelboden, a Swiss resort that offered virgin ski slopes as it had hitherto been known only as a summer-holiday centre.
