What was the first film presented publicly?
The first FILM PRESENTED PUBLICLY on screen was a short film fitled La Sortie des Ouvriers de ‘Using Lumiere’ It was shown by Auguste and Lousie Lumiere at 44 rue de Rennes, Paris on 22 March 1865. The film taken in August/Sept 1894, showed workers leaving the Lumiere factory at Lyons for their dinner.
