Lake Assail
Lake Assail is situated in African Country Djibouti; it is located at the lowest tip of Africa. It is situated at 155-meter-deep from the base with surface area of 54 square kilometer and maximum deepest point of 40 meter. Assail lake is the most saline lake of the world, with 34.8 per cent salt in it. The area around this lake is very hot and dry. This area is earthquake prone and this lake is also one of the volcanic craters which got converted into a lake. A lake can be easily crossed; due to warm area the water evaporates very fast due to which salt in the water increases. In the monsoons, the water of the lake rises up and so does it slowly dries up from evaporating thereby creating thick layer of salt in the sides.
