The Manager,
M/s. Chawla 86 Co., Ltd.,
Mall Road,
New Delhi.
In reply to your advertisement in today’s Hindustan Times I request to be considered for the post of Accounts Clerk in your firm, and as desired by you 1 give below a short description of my qualifications and experience.
- After having my schooling in St. Thomas, Naini up to my high school certificate examination, I joined St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, from where I graduated in 2001 securing 1st class.
- Both in my school and college career I took keen interest in extra-curricular activities.
- Since my early age I was helping my father in his business and occasionally got some tips inaccounts from him. Also during my college vacations, I studied the accounts maintained at my father’s shop (of sports goods). After my graduation I joined the Y. M. C. A. Course of Book-keeping and Accountancy and obtained a full certificate.
- Unfortunately the business of my father has closed down recently because of dispute amongst partners and I have not been able to devote my knowledge of accounts to the family business. I therefore, consider it worthwhile approaching your esteemed concern for the present post.
- In view of the fact that I have already had training in accounts and that I possess a good knowledge of Book-Keeping, I am confident that I will be able to perform my duties to your entire satisfaction and will be an asset to your firm. If you will be good enough to offer me a chance, I would do my best to win your confidence by means of hard work, perseverance and devotion to duty.
Hoping for a favourable reply.
Your faithfully,
Ajit Kumar
New Delhi.
