Public Toilets
- What is a public toilet?
- Why is a public toilet needed?
- Where are they to be found?
A public toilet is a facility provided to allow use of a toilet by members of the public, or customers. It is different from a private residential toilet which might be either a standalone toilet or part of a bathroom.
Public toilets are needed so people can relieve themselves while traveling, while at work, while out partying, when they are anywhere but home. Public toilets are found at bus stations, at railway stations, at malls, at shopping centers, at movie theaters, at temples, at schools, at offices, at hospitals, and at hotels. Public toilets are required where people get together away from home.
