A letter to a friend on the death of his (her) mother
Dear Vimal,
I was deeply distressed to know the sudden death of your mother. I know that she had been keeping good health for the last few days. But I never thought that she would leave us so soon. She was, indeed, a noble and pious woman. She looked upon me as her own son. I feel your mother’s death as a personal loss.
Dear, no doubt your loss is irreparable. Please do not give yourself up of grief. Death does not spare any one. He who is born is bound to die sooner or later. Weeping cannot bring her back. We must bow to God’s will. My parents also express their sympathies to you and your family. May God give you strength to bear the tragic blow. May the soul of the deceased enjoy eternal peace!
With deep sympathies,
Yours sincerely,
