Write a letter to your brother who works in Mumbai informing him about your interest in eye donation.
Dear Akhil,
I have recently read a social message in a magazine by the Times Eye Research Foundation asking people to pledge to donate their eyes after their death. The advertisement clearly mentions that the cornea is transplanted only after the death of the donor and so does not cause the donor any pain. Also, it does not disfigure the face and so cannot hurt the sentiments of the relatives of the donor.
I am seriously considering pledging to donate my eyes. By doing so I can help to give sight to at least one blind person.
What do you think? Both of us have been donating blood ever since we were 14 years of age. Donating my eyes is a logical continuation of this practice. So write to me as soon as you can. I think I may need your support to persuade mummy to my way of thinking.
Lots of love and all the best.
