Dear Sir,
I am sorry to bring to your kind notice the misbehaviour of a bus conductor. I was travelling from Central Secretariat to Anand Vihar on route No.342 in the afternoon on 18th January, 1993. The number of the bus was DHL 4292. The name of the conductor displayed on his badge was Mangat Ram Yaday. The conduc-tor was sitting in his seat in a dozing posture and did not issue tick:ets to the passengers. The bus was very much overcrowded from the starting point itself and it was not possible for the passengers to reach the conductor. With a great difficulty, I was able to reach his seat and requested him to issue me a ticket. On being told that I had boarded the bus at Central Secretariat, he chided me in an abusive language as to why I did not purchase the ticket for so long. On my informing him that it was not possible to reach him in the overcrowded bus, he replied to me very rudely that it was none of his faults and that it was my duty to buy the ticket immediately whatever be the situation. Without any provocation, he threatened to throw me out of the bus.
Also, the conductor was not in the proper uniform and was also smoking white occupying his seat. He was also seen refusing to return the balance to certain passengers on the plea that he did not have the change. Some of the passengers had to forego their balance. In fact, I found that the conductor had the necessary change but did not return the balance to a few passengers on the false pretext of having no change.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
XYZ
