Madam,
I am sorry to state that, due to sudden death of my ailing grandfather, I could not appear in the second-term test of my class. I was fully prepared for the test but the above-stated circumstances did not allow me to do justice to my studies. Further, due to the sudden death of my grandfather, I could not apply for exemption from taking the test at the appropriate time. The death had a shocking effect on me.
I shall be thankful if you kindly grant me necessary exemption from the second-term test and oblige.
