The Person I Like Most
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is the person I like most. He has impressed me greatly. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father, Moti Lai Nehru, was a renowned barrister of his time and was very rich. Pt. Nehru acquired a part of his education abroad. He gave up the life of luxury and devoted his life to fight against the British rule in India and to free his country from the foreign yoke. He worked under the advice and guidance of Mahatma Gandhi, who was his mentor, guru, guide and philosopher. He suffered a lot for his country. He went to jail many times. He learnt the path of non-violence from Mahatma Gandhi. His knowledge of history was unparalleled. He wrote many books, the most famous of which is ‘Discovery of India’. It had received recognition in every part of the world. He was regarded by all nations of the world as one of the greatest personalities of his time. He was an international leader. He was a man of principles and great moral courage.
