Weekends – A Reprieve
Sunday is a weekend for most of the people. On this day, the schools are closed, the offices are closed. The students look forward to the coming of a Sunday. It is good that it comes every seventh day. The office people and others enjoy it as a holiday. Everybody is in a holiday mood. People get up late in the morning. They while away their time in gossiping and playing games. Some people attend to household jobs on this day. Many people go to the reading room. Children get stuck to the television to watch the interesting programmes scheduled for the weekend. In the evenings, visitors exchange visits. There are also dinner programmes with friends and relatives. A weekend is considered to be a reprieve after hard work for six days. This day is recreational as well as educative.
