Modern Girl
The times when a girl used to be a shy person have gone. The modern girl is no longer shy or homely. She does not remain confined to the home but goes into the world to perform many activities. She is quite assertive and makes her presence felt, In fashions, she imitates the male sex and adopts the dresses and hair-styles of film actresses. She also takes interest in games like hockey, basket ball and even cricket. She is also interested in mountaineering. She is interested in going to movies and attending concerts and visiting exhibitions. A modern girl is indifferent to perform her duties as a good mother. She is more interested in glamour and the pleasures of life. She is attracted towards western culture. From the Indian point of view, a modern girl is like an alien in the traditional society.
