Ideal Citizens
Ideal citizens are difficult to define and even more difficult to find. However, there are some qualities by which we can easily identify ideal citizens. Here are some of them.
First of all, they harbour a great love for their country. They will go to any lengths to protect it from enemies. They are imbued with the spirit of nationalism, but at the same time they are secular in their outlook. In a country which has many religions, there is great need for tolerance and broad-mindedness and ideal citizens possess these qualities in abundance. They pay their taxes regularly and follow the law meticulously. They are politically conscious people and exercise their right to vote in a judicious manner.
They take an active interest in the research, economic and sports programmes of their country, furthering its cause at every opportunity. They condemn subversive elements and stand for the unity of their nation. They carry out their obligations to society with sincerity and devotion to society with sincerity and devotion.
We should all try to be ideal citizens, humanistic in approach and always working towards developing and strengthening our country.
