Communication Skills
Man is a social animal, as he is dependent on others for his needs. The clothes that he wears are made in the cloth mills, the house that he lives in is constructed by the contractors and builders and the vegetables that he eats are reaped and harvested by the farmers.
A man must know the art of communication to impress all the people including friends, acquaintances and. relatives, as it’s not possible to attain success in life, if one does not know how to talk eloquently with people. A man cannot live isolated from the world in the civilised society. One has to live with others and please people to gain love and respect from them.
It is important to gain command over language and speak well to converse with people in the society.
Here are some suggestions for the improvement of one’s communication skills:
Learn at least two words from the dictionary every day for two months.
Keep your tone balanced and polite. Don’t remain over-excited all time.
Speak in a low tone. Don’t make the pitch of your voice high. High pitch of voice annoys people.
Listen more and talk less. Don’t talk much with people who try to pull you down in front of others.
Think before you speak and avoid such talks that could hurt the person and create hatred for you.
Don’t suppress the people who are more successful than you. Encourage them instead with encouraging words of inspiration.
Don’t forget the birthdays and marriage anniversaries of your near and dear ones and send them a simple greeting card, if you are unable to visit their home on the auspicious occasion. Remember never make people greedy by giving lavish presents to them all the time. People get habitual of taking monetary benefits from you and thus get annoyed if you stop giving them lavish gift items, later on.
Last but not the least console people, who are facing the tragedies of life with words of consolation. Cheer up your friends who pass exams with flying colours. Lit up the lamp of knowledge in the ignorant minds by imparting your knowledge to them, bloom as the blooming flower, by spreading the fragrance of love around you, through loving words.
