The Lion and the Mouse
Once a lion was soundly sleeping. A playful mouse jumped on him. This disturbed the lion. He woke up irritated and caught the mouse. The mouse saw its end near. It requested him to spare its life. Showing his large-heartedness he freed it from his paw. It thanked him and ran away. A few days later the lion was caught in the net of the hunters. He tried his utmost to free himself but remained unsuccessful. He roared and cried in despair. The mouse heard the heart-rending cries and rushed to that spot. Reaching there it started to gnaw the strong strings of the net. The trap was broken into pieces. The lion was free. He thanked the mouse and went his way.
Moral: One good turn deserves another.
