What Do You Think
What The World Needs Now Do you know why the moron threw butter out of the window? He wanted to see a butterfly! Ridiculous as the joke may seem it is sure to bring a smile to your face.
We live in a stressful world today. As students, we face competition at every step. The need to excel in every walk of life is stronger than ever before. In such a grim scenario, the merits of a good joke and a good sense of humour can never be overemphasized.
Reading a funny story or simply laughing at a good joke with friends can work as a great stress buster. Scientifically too, it is a well-known fact that laughter produces Endorphin, a chemical which makes a person feel good, bringing on a feeling of well-being.
Laughing at oneself is a very endearing trait which allows us to look at the lighter side of things while taking ourselves less seriously. It helps us build new friendships while renewing old ones.
Though we might not be able to find a direct solution to the many problems faced by the world today, a healthy dose of laughter will definitely help us address these issues more positively. For it has rightly been said that ‘Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone!’
