Shopping at The Mall
Shopping at a mall is great fun if you have the money and if you cannot afford to spend too much, well, window shopping is fun too!
Ambiance contributes a lot to our experience of a place. A fair has its own charm, a busy bazaar is one of its kind, a supermarket has its plus points so also a mall. A mall exudes luxury — the air conditioning is a blessing, the floors sparkling, the colours eye catching, the shops expensively done and offering designer goods, the aroma of rich food in the air, well dressed men and women and labels to die for, are all the temptations that a mall and only a mall can offer. The escalators and elevators ease our effort and the only time a shopper perspires is probably when he pays for a purchase! A mention must be made of the innovations in terms of ambiance during festivals. In India there are so many festivals all through the year and these malls actually keep reinventing to keep up with every occasion. The signs announcing sales catch your eye often and it is really tough to drag yourself away from it.
We have progressed so much in a relatively short span that there is actually nothing that money cannot buy. The children of today see a mall as the most natural shopping experience but for the older generation it is almost a miracle of sorts.
