My Happiest Day
For a person who gets ecstatic over little things, it is difficult to pinpoint one day and call it the happiest. I have so much to be grateful for and so many joyous moments to recount that I personally think I am inept to make the choice. Instead I intend touching upon some special days without which my life would not be what it is today.
My childhood has been a happy, carefree and memorable time and the happiest days were perhaps my birthdays because I was always made to feel so special. Even though I did not enjoy school life too much, I loved my years in college and my happiest days were those when I received letters from home and some very dear friends. Then I applied for a career as a helicopter pilot in the IAF. Thereafter, crossing each hurdle made that the happiest days of my life. The day I fell in love and got married, the day I had my son and then my daughter were again the happiest moments I am so grateful for.
Life brings with it numerous struggles but infinite happy moments as well. As we grow older our perspective of happiness changes. Today, I am happiest when the people I love so dearly are happy and content.
