Write a letter to the Editor of a newspaper complaining against smoking in Buses and Trams.

Sir,
Kindly allow me a little space on the columns of your esteemed daily for ventilating my protest against the smoking habits of certain people in buses and tram cars.
There are smokers who care for nobody when they have an urge to smoke. And when these people happen to enter a bus or a tram car, they will be causing disturbance to those who are not smokers. It is indeed nauseating when volumes of smoke enter into the nostrils of non-smokers. Besides, sometimes the ashes get into one’s eyes and nostrils when a half-burnt cigar slips from a smoker’s fingers to get into the clothes of other passengers. This is not at all unusual in these days when trams and buses run so crowded.
The fun of the whole thing is that the tram or bus journey does not take more than half an hour at most, and is it too much to expect that smokers should abstain from smoking during this period? A man can go even without food for days together, why then a smoker should not go without smoking for a few minutes only?
May I request you to take up the subject and comment on it in your ‘titbits’?
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Anil Kumar Banerjee
