The Naughty Boys
It was after school. Sam, Peter, and George were walking out of the school gate. They pushed and shoved one another roughly.
The boys stepped onto the road without checking for cars. There were two cars coming towards them but the boys did not notice. The boys even stopped to play in the middle of the road. Sam pushed George so hard that George almost fell over. Peter came to George’s defence and both mischievously pushed Sam back. Sam retaliated by pushing George. The boys stopped in the middle of the road and pushed and pulled one another. They were laughing and shouting. Suddenly, a horn sounded loudly. The boys jumped in fright. They were so shocked that they stood rooted to the spot. One of the cars screeched to a stop just before hitting them. However, the other car could not stop in time. It grazed Sam’s legs. Sam clutched his legs in pain. He fell over backwards.
A few teachers ran out of the school when they heard the commotion. They helped the boys to their feet and took them back to the school. They reprimanded them for playing on the road. Then, they called their parents to tell them to take the boys home.
