The Pet Shop
Stan walked eagerly into the pet shop. He could not wait to buy his first pet. He wanted the small white and pink rabbit in a brown cage at the back of the pet shop,
Stan waited impatiently for a shop assistant to attend to him. He stared at the rabbit. It was adorable and the cage door was not locked. All he had to do was to open the door and take the rabbit out. Looking around, Stan decided to take the rabbit out himself. He opened the door and reached inside. However, before he could reach the rabbit, two of them tried to hop out. Stan wanted to close the cage door but it was already too late. The rabbits had hopped out of the cage. Stan stared at them open-mouthed. He did not know what to do. By the time he called for help, the rabbits had already hopped under a shelf.
There was chaos in the shop when the other customers found out that two rabbits had escaped. In the chaos, no one bothered to close the cage door. Two more rabbits hopped out. The shop assistants took ten minutes to catch all the rabbits and put them back in the cage. Stan was very sorry for what he had done. He left the pet shop without buying the rabbit.
