A Young Artist
Jordan wanted to be an artist. After school, he would paint pictures. His mother bought him an easel and some paints.
Every afternoon, Jordan would take his easel to his garden to paint. He was very good. Everyone told him that he was a good artist but he did not believe them. He seldom liked his pictures because he felt that they were not realistic enough. When he did not like the picture that he painted, he would rip the paper and crush it immediately. Sometimes, he would be so frustrated that he would splash huge blobs of paints onto his easel. His parents told him to be patient. They encouraged him to try again instead of getting angry if he did not like his pictures. Jordan tried very hard because he was determined to become an artist. When he finally drew pictures that he liked, he would give them to his parents or pin them on his bedroom walls.
Once, Jordan saw a pamphlet for an art school. He asked his parents to sign him up for classes. They agreed. He was delighted as he would finally be able to learn different drawing and painting techniques from experienced painters.
