An Inconsiderate Children
Tom and Andrew were playing ball in their bedroom. They kicked the ball so hard that it bounced off the walls and crashed onto their books on the table. They were laughing and shouting. They were creating a din. Their grandmother, who was ill, was trying to take a nap in the next room.
After a while, the boys ran out to the living room. Tom turned up the volume of the television set to watch his favourite cartoons while Andrew played computer games. The house was even noisier than before. Their grandmother hobbled out after a while to tell them to keep quiet but they ignored her. When she asked them to get her a glass of water, they did not hear her as the house was too noisy. She had to hobble to the kitchen to get the water herself. However, she was very weak and she dropped the glass. The crash startled the boys and they immediately stopped what they were doing to help her. !
They finally realized that they were in the wrong and apologized to their grandmother. Then, they helped her back to the room. They spent the rest of the afternoon reading books and doing jigsaw puzzles.
