One should value sermons
Jenny used to go to the church every Sunday with her husband Philip. But every time when the Father started giving sermons, Philip would start drowsing. Jenny didn’t like this and consulted the Father of the church. The Father listened to Jenny. He thought of an idea. He gave a needle to Jenny and told her to prick Philip as soon as he started drowsing. Next Sunday, as usual, just as the Father started preaching, Philip went to sleep. The Father asked the public a question, “Who is our saviour?” Just then Jenny took out the needle and pricked Philip. “Oh, Christ!” shouted Philip and woke up. The Father said, “Yes, it is Christ.” Philip realised that he was sleeping.
Moral: One should value sermons.
