Subject: Development of Gupta Colony’s Park
Dear Sir
I draw your kind attention to the condition of a park in the Gupta Colony which is a residential area. In the middle of our colony there is a triangular park. During daytime children used to play and in the evening the residents of the colony could be seen walking around in this park. But it was so two or three years ago. They’re also used to be a fountain in the park and people felt amused when they sat here for a while.
However, the park has been in pitiable condition for the past two years. At noon anti-social elements are seen collected in the park and they indulge in teasing the girls returning home from schools and colleges. A person who deals in odd and miscellaneous things collected from rag pickers has started his business in this park. In addition to this, the park has become an enclosure for two buffaloes. Not only this, even three or four Bangladeshi families have put up their huts there. The park’s railing finds its place at the shop of Kabaadi – wala’. The remains of the park tell us that once there used to be a park here.
You are, therefore, requested to remove the unauthorised encroachments in the park and make earnest efforts to revoke the park to its former position.
Yours faithfully
Ashok Arora
