So much information about the adverse effects of alcohol is known. Yet, a large number of people condone what is known to them. Overlooking the negative effects of alcohol can turn the alcohol into a deadly weapon.

Alcohol can cause deaths, diseases, and family problems. Alcohol can end your life in a matter of a second. Alcohol-related deaths are five times greater than the number killed by all illicit drugs combined.

When a person imbibes alcohol, he or she becomes disoriented. When people drive under this condition, they expose themselves to great danger.

In addition, women become more easily intoxicated from alcohol than men. As result, women get killed from alcohol than males.

Alcohol can also cause many diseases. When you drink too much alcohol, you get hallucinations and memory loss. Alcohol specifically affects the control centers of the brain.

If people do not get help for alcoholism, the condition could be debilitated. It could eventually lead to Korsakoff’s syndrome of which symptoms would be mental confusion, hallucinations, and paralysis of hands and feet. This disease can get worse than they already have.

Finally, alcohol can lead to poor family relationships. Alcoholics tend to abuse children just to make themselves feel better. These innocent children get beaten every day without knowing what is going on.

There are many other things that have not been mentioned. There are more diseases caused by alcohol which we still do not know today. The death rate of alcohol is climbing every day.

If a person is a heavy drinker, he or she needs to get help immediately before they kill themselves and the others. There is a drug called Naltrexone that can block the craving for alcohol. It is not the best solution to stop drinking, but it is considered one of the most effective ways to stop a person from drinking.

So many lives, diseases, and poor family relationships can be prevented by not drinking alcohol. Alcohol is a drug, but unlike the other drug, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and probably all the others for some reason this is socially accepted and is legal.

Alcohol is bad for you and does have long-term effects associated with it. Such as the long addiction to it, effects on the body, and the social interaction effects.

Social drinking term kids and drinkers have come accustom to, social drinking is defined by one standard drink per hour, and no more than 3 per day, but some people just socialize around people that drink as heavily as they do and confuse that for social drinking.

Addiction to alcohol can be acquired easily if not careful, binge drinking and family history are all keys in the identification of addiction.

Family history could be linked to alcoholism by finding out if your family had problems in the past with alcohol and it is determined by studies that genes have effects on alcohol. Alcohol is a drug, but legal unlike the other drugs on the street, drugs are all harmful to the body and can have serious problems for you in the long run.

Alcohol can affect the body in multiple ways. The tranquilizing effects of being drunk; acts like a stimulate, but are a depressant, and cause the brain to lower self-control, and impairs vision, other senses, and affect bodily coordination. This tranquilizing effect is affected by the consumption or otherwise, intake of alcohol has serious effects on the liver, the heart, and the brain.

Alcohol consumption affects all these and has an overall personality change when signs of alcoholism begin. Alcohol overall has a detrimental effect on the body and the mind.
